Diem Allis is Senior HR Manager, Global Mobility at American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). With almost three decades of experience, she is a highly accomplished and skilled global mobility leader with extensive knowledge of international assignment management and a passion for continuous process improvement in the face of ever-changing policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations and systems.
She began her career in public accounting with Price Waterhouse in their International Assignment Solutions group, where she managed expatriate tax compliance and consulting. Prior to joining ABS in 2017, Diem has held progressive roles in Global Mobility, HRIS, Payroll and Tax at EMAS Chiyoda Subsea, McDermott International, GE Oil & Gas Pressure Control, and Expro Group.
Over the past decade, Diem has dedicated her time as a volunteer with the Texas SHRM Global Business Conference, where she currently serves as the Director of Logistics on the committee. Additionally, she is a member of HR Houston’s Gulf Coast Symposium Committee and the Corporate Advisory Panel of Houston Relocation Professionals (HRP). Diem holds certifications as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
Diem graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. Residing in Houston, Texas, she enjoys crafting, baking, and photography in her spare time. She is also an avid foodie, proudly holding the Yelp Elite on Fire distinction.
