Vini Valverde is the Director of Global Mobility for UPS, where he leads the company’s Global Mobility, Expat Tax, and Immigration programs. With more than 18 years of experience across the mobility industry, Vini has held roles as an expatriate, worked for a relocation management provider, and spent the last 15 years in corporate HR.
A
passionate and deeply engaged global mobility professional, Vini is an active
contributor to the mobility community. He was recognized as The Most Admired
Global Mobility Corporate Professional in the World in 2022 and as a Top
Diversity Champion in 2023. He also served as Corporate Advisory Council member
of WERC, President of Rocky Mountain Relocation Council, Sponsorship and Education
for Portland Relocation Council, Senator/Ambassador for Global Mobility
Journeys, a Benivo Changemaker, and a member of the Corporate Action Network at
Move for Hunger. Vini has also served as speakers at WERC conferences, regional
councils and as guest lecturer at several universities.
Born in
Brazil, Vini has spent more than half his life abroad, including three years
living in Italy. His passion for global mobility is fueled by his love of
languages, travel, and cross‑cultural experiences. He speaks four languages,
has traveled to more than 40 countries, and is an avid outdoor enthusiast.
In his free
time, Vini enjoys hiking, following his Brazilian soccer team Corinthians,
inline skating, biking, cooking in his outdoor kitchen, and spending quality
time with his wife Laura and their children, Matteo (16) and Kaylee (13). They
currently reside in Portland, Oregon.
